POSTAGE AND HANDLING MINIMUMS:
Credit Card Minimum Order: There is a $10.00 minimum credit card purchase. If you want to order less than $10.00 worth of merchandise, please order by mail with a check or money order, or authorize us to charge your credit card $10.00. There is a $5.00 minimum P&H fee per order, even if all items are listed as "Free P&H" individually.
Personal Checks: We accept personal checks. However, for large purchases we reserve the right to allow time for the check clear before shipping. It is recommended that any purchases over $100 be paid by cashier's check, international money order, or U.S. postal money order to avoid delay.
Tablatures: Tablatures are $1.00 each. If you want fewer than $10.00 worth of tablatures either authorize the $10.00 fee plus $5.00 P&H fee charged to your card or send a check in the mail with a list of tablature selections and a self addressed stamped envelope. Send a large (9 1/2" x 12" or 10" x 13") envelope if you do not want the tabs folded. Add $3.00 P&H.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS: Additional international shipping fees are calculated after the order is placed and charged in addition to the USA domestic rate which is automatically calculated by the shopping cart. The shopping cart cannot calculate international rates, so the shipping total for a non-USA order will not be shown in your confirmation email reciept. We process all credit cards manually, it is not automatically charged to your card when you place an order. The USA fees are charged in addition to the actual international rates as "handling" fees. International orders take more time to process, the risk of damage/loss is much higher, the credit card processing fee is higher. The fees must be calculated on on the US Postal service website on a per-order basis. International orders orders must be packaged more securely, there is more paperwork with labels and customs forms. Also, if lost during shipment international parcels are rarely located and returned, so overall losses are much higher. We will ship the lowest air mail rate (usually First Class International) by default without notifying the customer. Any orders over four pounds in weight are required by the U S Postal Service to be shipped Priority Mail, which can be as much a three times the First Class Rate. If you want an exact quote of the postal rates before ordering, email list of items you wish to order.

We will replace or refund any items that were incorrectly delivered due to Hatfield Music error, including shipping charges.Defective items: Sometimes it is quicker and/or cheaper to return defective items directly to the manufacturer under the manufacturer's warranty, so CALL or EMAIL FIRST before returning items!
If the customer has made an error which results in an incorrect shipment, a 15% restocking fee may be deducted from the credit. Customer pays shipping both ways if the error was theiers. If returned merchandise is damaged because of insufficient protection by the customer, Hatfield Music will not issue credit for the return. When ordering, be sure to supply ALL pertinent information including ship-to address, work, home and cell phone numbers, email addresses and correct credit card number including expiration date.
All orders are shipped within 48 hours excluding weekends and holidays. Allow two weeks for U.S.A. delivery, and at least ten days for International First Class delivery. Unless you have selected special services such as "In-House Rush/Priority Mail" or "Express" service, please do not call to check on orders unless this time has expired.
In-House Rush/Priority shipping: Shipped the same day if order is placed before 2:00 P.M. Eastern time Monday - Friday. Add $10.00 if destination address is in the Eastern or Central time zone. Add $12.00 for Mountain time zone and Pacific time zone. This fee is added to the standard ground shipping already charged (USA orders only).
Customer Service Policy:
We will do all within reason to serve the customer with speed and accuracy. It is the customer's responsibility to provide all the necessary information when ordering by phone or email messages and to review the return/shipping policy before ordering. The phone answering machine IS secure, only I have access to messages. It is OK to leave your credit card info. However, it is best to simply order from the shopping cart so all the info is in one place and download-able. Again, Hatfield Music is primarily a one-man mail order/ecommerce business. I sometimes have music gigs, and other concerns that take me away from the shop during business hours. If you have an issue you can't resolve via email, call 865-428-8063 for assistance. If I do not answer, leave a message and your phone number on the answering machine. All messages are checked within 24 hours excluding holidays and weekends.
By clicking on the "order now" button in the shopping cart the customer implicitly agrees to Hatfield Music shipping and returns policy.
