True Blue

True Blue was founded by Jack Hatfield in the early 1980’s, making them one of most experienced bluegrass bands in East Tennessee. They perform traditional bluegrass with occasional country and acoustic pop/rock selections sprinkled in for variety. True Blue has entertained at hundreds of weddings, clubs, conventions, parties, festivals and receptions. They perform regularly at Blackberry Farms, the top-rated Bed and Breakfast in the USA. They also perform at Knoxville venues such as Wild Wings Cafe and Boyd’s Jig & Reel.

While staff bluegrass band at Dollywood, Paul Brewster was featured as lead singer. Paul left True Blue to join Ricky Skaggs’ band where he remains today. Other well-known musicians who have worked with True Blue include Richard Bennett, Michael Reno Harrell, Wayne Taylor, Doug Campbell and Roscoe Morgan.

True Blue is available to perform as a duo, trio, four-piece or five-piece band depending on the budget and the requirements of the event. Available for concerts, festivals, conventions, parties, receptions, weddings – any special occasion.

Jack Hatfield also performs solo performances, either in concert or as a strolling banjo/fiddle/mandolin with comedy and sing-alongs. He did this for several years at Dixie Stampede dinner theater in Pigeon Forge. He also plays fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and dulcimer.
